Historic Hartpury: St Mary’s Church & bee shelter

Heritage Open Day: St Mary's Church is a magnificent (Grade I) listed building dating from at least Norman times. It boasts a 14th century font and a 15th century timber framed porch. Two medieval carvings in the roof of the nave depict a Green Man and his scaly companion. The East window has butterfly tracery and there is a huge chest carved from a single tree trunk.
