Eastgate House

Heritage Open Day: Eastgate House is a nationally significant Grade I listed house in the heart of Rochester's High Street. Built around the late 1500s by Sir Peter Buck, a senior official at Chatham Dockyard. The House is an excellent example of an Elizabethan town house. Eastgate House is occasionally open to the public for exhibitions. The House is now being conserved thanks to generous funding from Heritage Lottery Fund.
