Heritage Open Day: Child Action Northwest's David Pilkington will present an illustrated talk, 'The Buried Treasure of James Dixon' looking at the work of the founder of the Blackburn Ragged School and his work with Blackburn Orphanage through a fascinating collection of archives and artefacts.
See the foundation stone of the Ragged School in the car park, and get up close to the rescued stained glass windows dedicated to James Dixon and the co-founder Thomas John Walkden.
