Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception
Heritage Open Day: Our Lady’s church was opened in 1857 and was designed by the architect
Edward Pugin. The main feature is the magnificent sanctuary area, as well as
the encaustic tiles on the floor and the marble altar rails. The church was
bombed in 1942 and re-opened with glorious celebrations 10 years later.
