Fishergate Postern Tower

Heritage Open Day: Volunteer guides will show you around the 500 year old tower, where the Postern Gatekeeper lived with his family. Visitors can climb the narrow spiral staircase to see the rooms on three floors with a garderobe, mullioned windows, timber roof, battlements, look-out tower and mason's marks. Children take great delight in climbing the stairs and exploring the tower - it's safe, but care is needed and adults must take responsibility for children.
