St Mark's Church

Heritage Open Day: The interior of the original Victorian church was destroyed by bombing during WW2 and the church did not reopen for worship until 1963. The new interior, designed by the architect George Pace, is open, light filled and peaceful. The east 'Te Deum' window, designed by Henry Stammers, and the west window, depicting the tongues of fire of the Holy Spirit and designed by John Piper, are particularly worth noting.
