Heritage Open Day: Opened in June 2014 and described as a “pavilion on the edge of the park”, the Centre has a calm and spacious feel. It makes extensive use of natural light and is designed for efficient use of energy and water. Inside a tall gallery/ exhibition space with courtyard/ light well connects to a Quaker meeting room, hall with sprung floor, committee rooms and children’s room. Outside a covered colonnade lets onto an informal garden encouraging bio-diversity and wildlife habitats.
