Heritage Open Day: A small exhibition at the house where George Stephenson lived from 1804, while working as a brakesman at the Old Killingworth Colliery. His equally famous son, Robert, was raised here. This year marks the bi-centenary of the invention of George Stephenson's first Steam Locomotive 'Blucher'.
