The CastleGate - Newcastle Electric Tramways Power Station
Heritage Open Day: Visitors will be taken on a guided tour of this historic Grade II listed building, once called Newcastle Electric Tramways, as well as Manors Power Station, which has now been brought into use as a conference centre. The two-part tour will include a fascinating insight into the industrial architecture of the early 1900s, close up views of the 50-tonne crane, underground tunnel, WWII air raid shelter and commemorative stained glass window.
