Bagot's Castle

Heritage Open Day: The original castle was probably the work of Geoffrey Savage in the time of Henry I (1100-35); the remains of Bagot's Castle, a medieval fortified house. Thought to have been rebuilt sometime in the 1380's by Sir William Bagot, a distinguished nobleman of the time. There appears to have been a moat surrounding the castle as there is evidence of a drawbridge.
