Dudley Tunnel and Canals Trip

Heritage Open Day: Sandwell MBC with the Canal & River Trust is hosting an exciting Heritage Open Day at Galton Valley in Smethwick. At the 1892 New Smethwick Pumping Station, visitors will be able to see recreated steam engines and boilers in operation and, weather permitting, people can walk around the Galton Valley and experience for themselves the rich industrial heritage that made this such an important area in the industrial revolution.
