National Coal Mining Museum for England - Sorting the Coal
Heritage Open Day: The National Coal Mining Museum for England is located at the historic Caphouse Colliery which was established in the late-18th century and whose buildings now form the core of the museum. As part of Heritage Open Days 2014, the museum will be opening the screens building, which was used to sort the coal from the waste rock and debris.
