St Hilda's Church

Heritage Open Day: Plain on the outside and stunningly spectacular on the inside. Most unusual collection of carved and painted woodwork, including rood screen, reredos and font canopy. Designed by J.T.Micklethwaite for Anglo-Catholic worship, 1882. Well described in 2005 Pevsner Guide. Recent English Heritage/Heritage Lottery funded roof restoration. NADFAS Church Trail available for children of all ages!
