The Theatre of Royalty

The Durham Singers and Durham County Youth Choir bring the glamour of baroque royalty to Durham Cathedral in a concert of glittering ensemble and solo music for kings and queens. The coronation anthems written by Handel and Blow for George II and James II are spectacular pieces of musical theatre, whilst their two queens, Caroline and Mary, are represented by Handel and Purcell’s joyous settings of “My Heart is Inditing”.

Tickets: front nave, £20, rear nave/transepts £14. (students and under 25s £15/£10, children under 13 free).
