Meerkats of the Kalahari by Dr Julian Drewe.
Dr Drewe is a veterinary surgeon who works as a lecturer at the Royal Veterinary College, Potters Bar. He has a particular interest in wild animals and the infectious diseases that can pass between them and humans. He tracked Meerkats in the wild, catching them to sample them for diseases (particularly tuberculosis). The insights obtained are helping us understand TB in badgers in this country. 7.30pm
