The Sound of Music
Based on the story of the von Trapp family it tells the story of a young nun who, finding the confines of a convent claustrophobic and is sent to look after the children of a retired naval officer, introduces the family to song. The Sound of Music probably contains more hit songs than any other Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, due to the phenomenal success of the film version.
