Our artist in residence has created a stunning mural of the history of Sheppey along the 12th Century stairwell. Gordon Henderson MP will launch it. The island (originally 3 islands) was inhabited 10,000 years ago and has a rich history. The timeline is a chronological painting of some of the events in its history.
