Philharmonia Orchestra: All-Russian Fireworks
An evening of all-Russian fire and fantasy, from Mussorgsky’s Night on the Bare Mountain (as featured in Disney’s Fantasia) to Rimsky-Korsakov’s tale of one thousand and one nights. In between, Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, written as the composer attempted to recover from his disastrous marriage, stands as one of the most spectacular concertos of all time, especially at the euphoric, dazzling brilliance of the finale.
7.30pm start.
Tickets between £8 and £34.
