Revealing Corinium’s Western Cemetery

In 2011 excavations just outside the walls of Roman Cirencester revealed the unexpected survival of parts of the town’s western cemetery. Archaeologists recovered 71 inhumation and three cremation burials spanning from the late 1st to 4th century AD.
