Llythyrau o Faes y Gad yn Ystod y Rhyfel Mawr

Dr Bleddyn Huws provides a glimpse of a collection of letters sent by Private Richard Morris Griffith, who served with the Army in France and Italy between 1916 and 1918, to his parents, the poet Carneddog and his wife Catrin. His regiment fought in the Battle of Passchendaele in 1917, where Hedd Wyn was killed. Alongside his letters is correspondence sent by his father, Carneddog, to his friend John William Jones, the quarryman and poet from Tanygrisiau, which includes commentaries on his son’s
