Remembering the Great War

Concert of exciting and moving music to commemorate the centenary of the onset of World War One, featuring Haydn's Mass in Time of War - which was penned when the composer's own home country, Austria, was being mobilised for war - and his motet Insanae et Vanae Curae. The programme includes Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus and Tavener's poignant Song for Athene, which was played at the funeral of Princess Diana and is being presented by Hinckley Choral Union with four profession

7.30pm to 9.30pm, £10 including interval refreshments. The town centre venue is warm, comfortable and disabled friendly with plenty of free public parking nearby.
