World War 1 Concert in Aid of War Child - We Will Remember
The Chamber Ensemble of London will play ‘No Man’s Land’, a new suite for double bass and string orchestra by the West Country composer Clive Jenkins. The work includes readings of English, French, German and Russian poetry from the Great War. The soloist is Chris West co-principal bass player with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and for many years previously the solo double bass player with the Guildhall Strings. He is also professor of double bass at Trinity College of Music, London. He plays
