The Hundred Foot Journey
After fleeing political violence in India, the family of talented cook Hassan Kadam arrive in France. Once there, the kindness of a young woman, Marguerite, inspires Papa Kadam (Om Puri) to set up an Indian restaurant directly opposite the snobbish Madame Mallory’s (Helen Mirren) acclaimed haute cuisine establishment where Marguerite also works as a sous-chef. The resulting rivalry worsens until they reach an understanding that will change both sides forever.
