Sinfonia of Birmingham Concert

On Saturday March the 28th, at 7.30, the Sinfonia of Birmingham will be performing at the CBSO Centre (Berkley St. Birmingham B1 2LF) under the baton of Mike Seal. The concert opens brightly with an overture suffused with breaking sunlight – Nielsen’s Helios. Staying with Nielsen, we shall explore musically the four humours – ranging through choleric, sanguine and melancholic to phlegmatic in Nielsen’s symphony of temperaments, number 2.
