Sat 28th Feb 2015, 7.30pm, Hexham Abbey Great Hall: concert by Antiphon. Purcell: Dido and Aeneas; and Monteverdi: Lamento d’Arianna. Antiphon chamber choir, conducted by John Roper, will be accompanied by the early music ensemble Nouvelle Ancienne, led by Andrew Passmore. This will be the first major concert to be held in the newly refurbished Great Hall at Hexham Abbey. The bar and the Abbey’s new Visitor Centre will be open from 6.30pm.
