A Celebration of European Sacred Music by Shrewsbury Cantata Choir
Saturday 28th March at 7.30pm in the United Reformed Church, Shrewsbury. The Choir to be led by its Musical Director, Thomas Payne, and accompanied by two accomplished young soloists from the Birmingham Conservatoire, Victoria Adams and William Gee-and will perform Gabriel Fauré’s popular Requiem. Fauré himself described the Requiem as embodying a very human feeling of faith in eternal rest, and an aspiration towards happiness above. The Choir will look to bring out these qualities in this
