Chamada from Chico Mendes
Art installation combining interactive digital art with carnival arts, and environmental activism.
Inspired by the life, death and legacy of Chico Mendes (1944-1988), a Brazilian trade unionist and activist who is hailed in his homeland as a national hero. For this installation, the artist Kooj Chuhan invited input from a dozen artists hailing from four continents. In Kooj's words: It's an exhibition within an installation.
The main installation is 'playable' art -
