An evening lecture exploring the Roman Army and their role in Britain. Military historian John Smith will explore archaeological evidence of Roman military equipment and how this translates into creating a picture of the Roman soldier. John will uncover living conditions, food and drink and the social habits of Roman military personnel; exposing some of the military activities in Cirencester.
