Handel’s greatest oratorio as he heard it, performed on period instruments. The Messiah is the most celebrated of all oratorios, performed by choirs all over the UK. Completed in just 24 days, it is a blend of the best baroque styles: part German passion, part English anthem, part Italian opera.
