This event is organised jointly by Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the European Movement in Scotland with The Edinburgh University EU Society.
The panel will include Hans-Hartwig Blomeier, head of the KAS in the UK and Hugh Aitken, head of the CBI Scotland along with Christina McKelvie MSP and a senior academic.
The Konrad Adenauer Foundation is close to Mrs Merkel's CDU and is taking a keen interest in Britain's place in the EU.
