Cinema by the Sea - presents Effie Grey (12A)

Based on the scandal that shocked Victorian England, this is the story of Euphemia Effie Gray. At 19, she married the prominent art historian and critic John Ruskin, but Ruskin refused to consummate their marriage. Lonely and frustrated Effie is drawn to pre-Raphaelite painter John Everett Millais. After five years trapped in a loveless marriage, Effie will defy the rules of Victorian society.
Doors open 7pm. Film starts at 7.30pm prompt. Adults £5.50, Students & U18s £3.
