French Sundaes: La Grande Vadrouille (1966)
La Grande Vadrouille (1966) follows a house painter (Bourvil) and a grumbling operatic conductor (Louis de Funès), whose uneventful Parisian lives are turned upside-down when they stumble across the crew of a downed RAF bomber (one of whom is played by Terry-Thomas!). With the support of Resistance fighters, they help the airmen escape to the zone libre.
This is one of our French Sundaes series of screenings, with accompanying talks by Jon Davies.
