Edward Ardizzone illustrated over 180 books during his career. Best known for the series of 'Little Tim' children's stories, he also made designs for books such as 'Stig of the Dump'.His drawings, paintings and prints on subjects from home and abroad have great charm and gentleness. As an offical war artist, Edward was also well respected for his documentation of the daily lives of the soldiers in the second World War.
