British Archaeology - University of Reading archaeology field school
This is the first season of a 3-year research and training excavation led by the Department of Archaeology at the University of Reading. We will be investigating the prehistoric landscape along the Vale of Pewsey, between Stonehenge and Avebury, using the latest survey, excavation and scientific techniques. A number of different sites will be investigated, including Marden henge within the Hatfield Earthwork, a Neolithic enclosure and a Bronze Age barrow. The excavation will be directed by Dr Ji
