British Archaeology - I-Spy Waymarkers in the Yorkshire Colne Valley!
As part of the Milestone Society’s 'Crossing the Pennines' Heritage Trail celebrations, the Kirklees Countryside Volunteers will be leading a themed walk on footpaths, tracks and towpath, spotting the wide variety of waymarkers, ancient and new, along the route.
Less than 5 miles, easy/medium walking, some rough paths; meet in Old Bank car-park at Slaithwaite at 13.30, returning around 16.00.
