The Pop Group The Pop Group formed in Bristol in 1977 out of a sense of disenchantment with the increasing conservatism of punk and released their Dennis Bovell debut album, Y, in 1979. Their second album, For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder? arrived in 1980 before the band imploded in the same year.
