The Industrial heritage of Kirton in Lindsey
An afternoon guided walk led by Martin Hollingsworth. Kirton once boasted a ropewalk, gas works, foundry and 4 windmills in addition to the usual array of countryside crafts and skills. The walk will take you on a tour of Kirton's rich industrial past when the air would have been filled with smoke and noise.
Organised jointly by the Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology and the Kirton in Lindsey Society as part of the Past and Present project.
