Milton Keynes: 2000 Years Of History
The title of this talk says it all. Milton Keynes has been the site of a great archaeological dig, easily enabling us to trace 2,000 years and more of human settlement. Being on a busy Roman and medieval road, history did not pass it by. Tribulations of Church and State were enacted here. However, it was not until the second half of the twentieth century that great demographic changes occurred. Ann Leaver tells the fascinating story.
