Shrewsbury Choral Society to perfom The Mikado
Shrewsbury Choral Society; accompanied by orchestra and local soloists, will perform Gilbert & Sullivan’s Mikado led by Dr Martin Charles Cook the Society’s Musical Director.Dr Martin Charles Cook said: “The Mikado is, perhaps, the most famous of the Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. It opened in March 1885, at the Savoy Theatre, in London and ran for 672 performances.
