Evening Lecture- Not Just Dormice: The Archaeology of Roman Food – With Zena Kamash

In this lecture, Dr Zena Kamash will dispel some of the common myths about Roman food and explore what everyday Romans ate in Britain and beyond. Using different kinds of evidence we have about Roman food from actual food remains to the objects used to prepare and serve food to how food was represented in art, she will demonstrate how archaeologists can use these to develop a fuller picture of eating and drinking in the Roman world.
