To mark the publication of Brian Elliott’s latest book Images of the Past: Coalminers, the Museum is hosting a free event on 6th June 1pm-3pm.
Brian will be in conversation with fellow author Mel Dyke discussing his latest book and how he chose the images which give the reader a unique insight into the miner, his family and his work. Many of the images, which range from woodcuts and engravings to photographs, have come from Brian’s personal collection which he has accumulated over many years
