Brereton Bear Festival
Brereton, Cheshire, holds a biennial Bear Festival in honour of the Legend of the Muzzled Bear of Brereton. Residents register Bear Displays and provide a 'Bear Hunt' for people of all ages to hunt the 150+ bears available. During the summer, a range of events is organised to raise funds for local organisations and to give loads of family fun to everyone. The Bear Hunt lasts from Saturday 11 July until Friday 7 August when entries need to be with Helen Edge at 7 Maple Close Breret
