The History of the Harp a lecture by Sarah Deere-Jones. Using illustrations from carvings, wall paintings, pottery, mosaics, sculpture, stained glass, illuminated manuscripts and 18th and 19th century paintings, this lecture traces the history of one of the world's most ancient and beloved musical instruments. The lecturer, Sarah Deere-Jones, writes and lectures in the UK and abroad as a musician and scholar.
Lectures begin at 11.00 am with complimentary coffee and tea from 10.15-10.45. Non-members are very welcome, no need to book (suggested donation £8).
