Regency Displays at Curtis Museum (Jane Austen Regency Week)

This week-long display is part of the Jane Austen Regency Week. The Curtis Museum's special display of Regency costumes includes a summer dress c1810, a pair of embroidered shoes and an ivory fan, together with a beaded purse and a lovely sampler - all of the period when Jane Austen lived in nearby Chawton. The museum also has permanent displays covering aspects of life in the early 1800s which coincide with the Austens' arrival in the summer of 1809. There is a leaflet available whi
10am - 5pm Tuesday to Saturday. Free entry to Curtis Museum and nearby Allen Gallery, both part of the Hampshire Cultural Trust.
