Oldland Windmill Special Event Day
Oldland windmill is to be turned into a steam-driven time-machine for the day in a unique experiment designed to show how millers once defied the wind and kept their grinding stones turning on calm days. An eleven-ton monster steam engine, Jess, built by Marshall Traction Engines in 1908 will be travelling to Oldland Windmill and coupled to the beautifully-restored building.
