WEA Adult Education Course - Through a study of British and French artists we will explore changes in attitudes to art from the scientific, empirical approach of the 18th century, to an emphasis on the primacy of artistic imagination, creativity and an interest in religious mysticism together with some more naturalistic and 'realist' painting.
