The Early 1950's

WEA Adult Education Course - From the Festival of Britain to the Red Scare, the early 1950s were a time of enormous social change. This period saw the birth of rock 'n' roll, the rise of the teenager, and the beginning of James Bond. Film was battling television, resulting in the first commercial use of 3-D and widescreen cinema.
