Brook Street Chapel and Heritage Site

Heritage Open Day: Brook Street Chapel built 1687 - Knutsford's oldest place of worship and only Grade I listed building. Elizabeth Gaskell exhibition includes information about Elizabeth's early years in Knutsford, how it influenced her writing and her relationship with the families from the stately homes of Cheshire e.g. Tatton, Tabley, Styal, Capesthorne etc. The room is set out as an early Victorian parlour with artifacts, costumes, books and information boards and a Dolls house
