Heritage Open Day: Chester Cathedral is a truly remarkable building, with a history spanning almost two thousand years. Don't miss seeing: The finest medieval woodcarving, the Cobweb picture, the Chester Imp, the medieval shrine of St Werburgh, the Creation window in the refectory, and the unique Consistory Court which is the only old ecclesiastical court in the country to have survived. Also this year see the Lego model of the Cathedral under construction in the south transept. Re-enactme
