Macclesfield and Bollington United Reformed Church

Heritage Open Day: The church, which is a Grade 2 listed building, was built in 1877 to the design of C.O.Ellison of Liverpool, and succeeds a smaller, more modest, church building erected in 1788, which lies behind the church in Townley Street. The original buildings also included, from 1806, a Sunday School which at one time served about 600 pupils. The church was refurbished in 2009-10 and includes many interesting Victorian features. The church united with Bollington United Reformed church
